Here we go.....

Ready, Set, BLOG!

Okay, so a few of my friends (with far much more to talk about than me) have started blogging. And I think it is super fun getting to see what is going on with them really quick... especially those with little ones! I know I may not have alot to update everyone on, but I will try to entertain. Please excuse the terrible typing which includes but not limited to :grammer, spelling, word choice, word usage and all around 4th grade level writing. Thank you.

I have so much going on right now! My roommate is about to take her Speical Ed test to become a certified teacher on the 20th! Good Luck Nat! My Carly in Chicago just graduated with her Masters... Smartest friend! And our Jenny in Houston who has been married for almost a year now and found out she is having a BABY! Natalie says it is twins, which would be great... for us- not her! We are currently sceming to get them back up here! I also found out my best friend from Middle School, circa 1996, is pregnant! And one of my good friends from work wife is prego! Geez! I thought I was behind on the marriage train....

Last night Izzy and I joined the rest of Uptown's finest for the Katy Trail 5K. We finished in about 50 min. So we were averaging about a 16 minute mile. That included a few dog drinking stops, red bull stops, traffic light stops and picking her up to carry her bc she got so scared of the crowds sometimes. Which would be why my arms are so sore today. Izzy and I meet 3 more Cavaliers and hung out with them a while. One male tried to make her a baby mamma.... nuh huh! Not on my watch! I met up with Kari, Meredith, her bf Chad and others afterwards at the Concert/Fest. They had beers, food, wine, snacks, ice cream and dog treats. It was so fun but I was stressed about Izzy bc she gets really scared around all those people plus it was pretty muddy from the past days rain. So again, I carried her. She is my baby. She got lots of compliments and 'Ohhhhs' and 'Awwwws'. Pretty sure she liked all that, she doesn't get it all the time-mainly from me. It's fun to tell her story to people, hopefully it makes more people want to rescue a dog rather than go to an exspensive breeder. Below is a picture of her a month ago in her chic sweater... she isn't really into it but I think she looks adorable!

I just talked to my sister and we are planning Ella's 2nd Birthday Party!! YAY! She has gotten so big lately! She is mumbling crazy nonsense mixed in with 'cookie' 'go wit you' 'no no' 'mumma'. She is so stinkin' cute and a carbon copy of my sister. Which also means she gets into everything! And at this party, I will be doing face painting! Face Painting with LALA! Lots of Spidermans and power rangers I assume! I want to paint Ellas face like a kitty. Hopefully she doesn't want a Telltubby... ahh!
