My newest obsession, which is a healthy one, is to be Green. I have really been trying to reuse and recycle things when I can. One thing that isn't very convenient is there is no recycling in my apartment building. The only way I could make it work is if I got my own bins, and delivered them to the Dallas Recycling center before the recycling started to smell in my tiny kitchen. It just isn't as easy as I would like it to be. I did buy a reusable bag that I keep in my purse and have used on many occasions. I love it, it carries more and doesn't rip like a plastic sack. I suggest everyone get some!! I do wish I could start my own bag line with cute designs... I have thought about it for a while. About a year ago a saw two women who had started their own business with mediocre bags. I thought i could do much better :) Dreams dreams.
It is also so hard for me to see the waste everyone incurs throughout the day. From non productive prints at work, to go containers, Styrofoam everything, excessive napkins at fast food places... I could go on. Europe has made allot of advances that I wish we could all pick up on. Leaving a room and turning off the light, turning off your air or heat when you aren't using it and lower gallon flush toilets. Our country just doesn't make it very economical for us yet. I wish we could all get on the same page!
I did have a great weekend though, went to Rob's and we hung out with a friend and his wife from work Saturday night. Cooked out and played pool. unfortunately the Xbox went out right when we were getting started on some Rock band.... ARGH!
SATC MOVIE COMES OUT IN 11 DAYS!!!! I am so excited! I wish that Nat, Carl, Jen and I could all be together to see it.
This weekend is Amanda and Kallie's bachelorette party down in Austin, beers, bathing suits and boats!! It is going to be a great weekend. Although on a 3 day weekend I like to spend extra time with the family and Rob. But i haven't gotten away for a while and can;t wait for a huge girls weekend!! And yes this means that I will be getting super tan, no more Caucasian me!
Other than all that alot seems to be almost changing in my life. I am at that point where I want a new job and Rob and I are getting more serious by the week which means all sorts of stuff! My friends are getting pregnant and the rest are almost all married. Things will keep changing, i just need to keep up with it and enjoy everything. It's hard for me because I do like to plan everything and know how everything will play out. Time for me to loosen up some more I guess!
Got a lot of DVR watching to catch up on, Natalie and I heart reality TV and our DVR :)
